Jaden wanted to learn how to write his name in Chinese so I showed him how to write Lee… and after writing it a few times, he was able to write it without copying mine!  Good job Jaden!

Babi and I celebrated my birthday yesterday at Catalina Island.  Although it was a short trip, it was nice nonetheless.  We departed at around 12:30pm and arrived at Avalon at around 1:45pm.  We first had a quick lunch at Steve’s Steakhouse, then we walked around the island trying to find the waffle cone place that we visited 10+ years ago.  Unfortunately, we were not able to find it.  We ended up picking another ice-cream place for our waffle cone.  I have to say this one was just not as good as the one we went to before.  We pretty much had to leave the island after having the ice-cream cone.  We took off at 3:45pm and came back at around 5pm.  We did not expect so many people there, and therefore we did not make a reservation beforehand and that was why we had to pay $15 extra to upgrade to first class in order to come back by 5pm.  Good thing I was offered a free ride for my birthday!  Saved us $70!

Jaden pretended he was talking on the phone with grandma.  He asked grandma to go online so they could chat.  At the end he noticed that I was recording him so he hung up the phone!  What a funny boy!

It was Jaden’s 4th birthday yesterday.  We managed to have a last minute pool side party for him.  We invited some of his good friends to the party, Joey, Wesley, Ben Ben, Samantha, Brianna and Jalen.  Everybody had so much fun, especially the kids.  And they all had a very nice nap afterward I am sure!

It was the last day of the school year yesterday and the kids had a performance and a recital in school.  The kids who performed were from age 3-5.  Jaden was one of the 3 bells in the Wizard of Oz play (in case you can’t tell by the costume LOL).  I have to say it was not the best set up and the kids didn’t get to perform on a real stage, and it was so difficult for me to take pictures or video tape it as all the heads were blocking my view… so please excuse for my shaky videos… =)  (BTW, when you view the videos, you may click on the bottom right corner arrows to have a bigger view)
